Fire and Rescue Service: Car Crash at Middlezoy yesterday evening. The fire service said: “Two fire appliances from Bridgwater and the rescue tender from Glastonbury attended an RTC involving a tractor and a car. There was a casualty trapped in the vehicle. Crews worked with paramedics in stabilising the vehicle and removing the casualty from the vehicle, who was conveyed to hospital.” The incident took place at just after 5pm at Thorngrove.

Police: “A man has been jailed for drug offences following his arrest in Weston-super-Mare. James Beckett, 23, of Birmingham, was arrested in Clarendon Road, Weston, just before 6pm on Wednesday 30 September. Officers found 44 wraps of heroin in a garden in Clarendon Road and recovered a further nine wraps of heroin and five wraps of cocaine. Beckett was sentenced to 28 months in prison for possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine when he appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday 22 December 2015.”
