IT was an evening of festive fun at the annual Bayford Road Christmas lights switch-on.
The event took place on Saturday November 28, with Father Christmas arriving on the back of a Harley Davidson and the Marketeers CC shutting off the road.
Despite an array of activities taking place such as a grotto, presents for children, a fire engine and a bouncy castle, organiser Pete Smith was disappointed with the turn out.
"The light switch on was great but we had a lot less people here than last year," he said.
"Parents had told me they were bringing their children and then didn't turn up so I have a lot of gifts from the grotto left over and I am out of pocket.
"The biggest disappointment was that there were hardly any donations in the charity tin for Rainbow Pre School.
"It's such a shame."
