Christmas started with a bang in Bridgwater on Friday as people packed into the town for the snowflakes and shopping Christmas lights switch-on extravaganza.
The event saw an extended Bridgwater Castle Market lasting open all day and late night shopping until 8 pm, as well as entertainment and a visit from Father Christmas.
The lights were switched on at 6pm with a squibbing display on the Town Bridge at 7pm.
