Children from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School and Westover Green Primary School had their first taste of secondary school when they attended a multi-skills festival at Haygrove School.
The year two pupils took part in a range of outdoor activities designed to develop skills such as hand-eye coordination, ball control, working together and listening to instructions.
The festival also gave Haygrove School’s student Sports Leaders the opportunity to test out their planning and leadership skills.
They worked together in small teams to encourage the youngsters.
Co-ordinated by Somerset Activities and Sport Partnership, the festival was part of a range of activities that enable local primary and secondary schools to work together.
