BANK Holiday fun will be on offer for all the family at the Wembdon Village Day.

The annual event held at St Georges Parish Centre, Wembdon Common & Playing Field returns with a full array of events for all ages on Monday 31st August and will be hoping for the usual thousands of guests who arrive every year.

From 9.00am the car boot opens and from 1.00pm (following judging) visitors can experience the delights of the Flower, Fruit, vegetable and craft show in all its glory in the Parish Centre.

Those who are feeling peckish can head for the barbecue and light refreshments from 11am with a full range of stalls opening up from midday to offer crafts and other items to take away.

As well as the stalls, the day will be jam-packed with events such as the dog display team, bouncy castles, children’s races, a raffle draw and two performances by the Burtle Silver Band.

The afternoon will come to a close with the flower show auction and award presentations to wrap up what will surely be another great day for all the family.

Entry tickets for adults cost 50p and the OAPs and children cost 20p.

Free parking will also be available.
