A BRIDGWATER man has been slapped with a restraining order after admitting assaulting another man during an argument.
Nicholas Robbie Michael Gardener, of Merino Way, Bridgwater, was sentenced for assaulting Adrian Kingsland-Bonshor in May this year.
An argument between the two men in Cranleigh Gardens, Bridgwater resulted in Gardener throwing a punch which left his victim with a one inch scar on his forehead.
Gardener, 23, had pleaded guilty to the offence at a previous hearing.
Gardener, who has previous convictions for assault and criminal damage, was given an 18-month community service order at a hearing at Taunton Magistrates Court on July 16.
Gardener was ordered by the court to pay £200 compensation and a £150 court charge alongside a £60 victim surcharge.
In addition Gardener was told to undertake rehabilitation activities for up to 60 days including anger management.
A restraining order was put in place preventing Gardener contacting Mr Kingsland-Bonshor by any means for the next 12 months.
