A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in Bridgwater after police discovered a cannabis factory in her home.

Police discovered the factory on Monday morning last week (June 15) and found a total of 46 plants, a quantity of dried leaves and cannabis seeds.

Police also discovered equipment that can be used for growing cannabis, including sodium heat lamps, carbon filters, electronic timers, electronic thermometers, transformers, water trays with irrigation pumps – all of which were connected to electronic timers.

After the arrest, PC Dom Bryant said: “It was an extremely professional set-up.

“Two rooms within the house were occupied by grow tents and there were various pots, bottles of plant food, fertiliser and wall charts.

“The woman was arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.”
