HUNDREDS of bikers attended the South West Motorcycle Action Group’s Annual General Conference in Bridgwater recently.
The event at Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club saw scores of motorbike enthusiasts descend on the town to discuss the issues affecting bikers in the region.
Tony Lock, of the South West Motorcycle Action Group, said: “As bikers we don’t get much support from local councils but we feel that motorcycles are part of the answer to many traffic problems.
“We promote safe riding and can help alleviate a lot of the congestion on the roads.”
The Motorcycle Action Group, founded in 1973, campaigns to protect and promote the interests of the 1.2 million regular riders and over 3 million full motorcycle licence holders in the UK.
The voice of the Motorcycle Action Group is now being heard in parliament with over 40 MPs now signed up as members.
