How do you spring clean an admiral?
ONE of Bridgwater’s landmark statues, Admiral Blake in Fore Street, gets a spring clean next month.
A cleaning company will be using specialist techniques to ensure the bronze statue on granite plinth is returned to its former glory on May 14 by removing grime and bird droppings.
The £950 clean-up includes two coats of protective wax and the statue will be coned off for a short time. Admiral Blake was last cleaned in 2012.
