MIND in Sedgemoor has set up a free course to help people improve their health at the same time as finding out how to grow own food at home.
Get Set Grow is part of Mind in Sedgemoor’s Growing Health Initiative, a health and wellbeing project that aims to promote good mental health and social inclusion.
The free fortnightly course gets underway on March 10 at the Sunny Side Up Community Café and Support Centre at 2 Grenville House in Rhode Lane.
The sessions are being run in partnership with Somerset Community Food and will include advice on a range of topics such as growing year-round fresh produce.
People will have the opportunity to find some top tips to make the most of their growing space, and will then be able to put the advice into practice out at the allotments.
Sessions run from 1pm-2.45pm, open to anyone aged 16 or over – details on 01278-446935 or email mindin sedgemoor@hotmail.co.uk or visit mindinsedgemoor.org.uk
