POLICE have called off an operation involving the force helicopter and a number of police cars in Bishops Lydeard.
They reacted to a report that a five-year-old child had gone missing.
Officers were alerted to a possible incident at around 4pm today, Monday, March 2, and began the operation as a precautionary measure based around the Cedar Falls area.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "It was a false alarm with good intent."
He added that the child had been found "safe and well".
