POTENTIAL students and their families went along to Bridgwater College’s land-based open morning in Cannington at the weekend.

The college’s centre for land-based studies invited people to an open morning on Saturday to showcase the new £3million development at Rodway Farm.

The College Farm is a commercial operation which extends to over 180 hectares, providing arable, pasture and conservation areas, while being home to a number of specialist livestock enterprises.

Students have access to these operations and help run the farm.

More than 100 youngsters who are interested in studying at the centre attended and there were plenty of animals on show to keep families entertained, along with demonstrations from staff and students.
