NEW research has revealed the relaxed attitude that motorists across the South-West have toward speeding.

The figures, released by insurance company Admiral, found that nearly a quarter (24%) of motorists in the South West think that speeding is acceptable.

The majority of motorists in the region (64%) also admit they have driven over the speed limit on a motorway while more than half (52%) think the motorway speed limit should be 80mph or even higher.
