A NEW service offering home care to the elderly was set up in Bridgwater last week.

Bluebird Care Bridgwater, which is based in the Cranleigh Medical Centre, welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress of Bridgwater along to open the offices and throughout the day talks were given to local people explaining the nature of the service.

Zallah Marsh, Care Manager, believes that providing a first-class care service for people living in their homes is now more essential more than ever.

She said: “With an ageing population, and traditional family support networks not as strong or able as they were twenty years ago, more and more people are asking for help from home care providers like Bluebird Care, we are building on our great success in Taunton and Mid Devon where we provide quality person centred care to a number of very happy people in their own homes.

“We offer a realistic alternative to residential care this can involve one or more visits a day for relatively short periods in order to help with the everyday tasks of life.

“However, our service doesn’t stop there because longer duration visits are also available, including overnight help and live-in care. Our care provision ensures people are able to stay independent in their own homes and communities for as long as it safe to do so.”

Bluebird Care are registered with the Care Quality Commission and provides tailored care visits from 30 minutes to full live-in support.
