New digital transmitters switched on in Somerset
MORE than 500,000 people in Somerset can access local radio stations on their DAB digital radios following the switch-on of new transmitters.
The official switch-on was carried out at Somerset County Cricket Club in Taunton on Friday by the Mayor of Taunton Deane, Cllr Dave Durdan.
Five radio stations – BBC Somerset, Heart, Capital, Smooth Radio and Triple Hits – are now available through DAB digital radio.
