RAMBLERS from Sedgemoor have stepped out in support of a walker who is marking the death of his son with a 100-mile trek.
Richard Dean’s son Kierran died in 2003, aged six, and to mark what would have been Kierran’s 18th birthday, Richard is doing an epic trek to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West to thank them for their support.
He set out on September 22 from the Childrens Hospice at Charlton Farm near Bristol, and over the following five days visited Axbridge, Bridgwater, Nether Stowey, Bicknoller, Wheddon Cross, Exford and Simonsbath, finally reaching the Childrens Hospice at Fremington near Barnstaple, and his home nearby.
He was supported and guided from Axbridge to Ralegh’s Cross by Sedgemoor Ramblers.
