PEOPLE in Bridgwater are being encouraged to help the local bee population survive the colder weather as the winter season approaches.
Housebuilder David Wilson Homes has made a commitment to support the insects with its bee-friendly gardens and is supporting Bees’ Needs, a new five point plan to help bees everywhere enjoy the winter.
It urges people to help create or improve a habitat for bees by doing things like growing more nectar and pollen-rich flowers and cut grass less often.
