A PLAN to convert a former Bridgwater dental surgery into seven flats has been refused.
The proposal to change the surgery at York Buildings into homes was rejected by Sedgemoor District’s Council’s planning committee as it was judged that the development would be too dense for the area.
Bridgwater Town Council had raised some concerns about the number of homes in the scheme, submitted by Mr Penfold, saying this had to be balanced with retaining the historical structure of the building.
