PARENTS across the South-West on average endure 91 arguments and tantrums from children each week according to a recent survey.

However the study found that parents win the majority of the rows with 73 of the 91 ending in favour of the grownups.

Predictably the most common cause for disagreements was at bedtime when parents try to get their children to bed without a fuss.

Also near the top of the list was not tidying up their mess, not allowing junk food, and getting children to brush their teeth.

The study also found that nearly half of parents would give in and let the child have their own way for an easier life while a over a third were more persistent admitting that they hate it when their kids get one over on them.

The study, commissioned by the independent opticians group Sight Care, surveyed 2, 000 parents of children aged one ten from across the South-West.
