BRIDGWATER’S Dementia Action Alliance group held a meet and greet day at Lloyds Bank in Bridgwater.
Tea and cake were on offer along with the chance to talk about dementia, which affects around 800,000 people in the UK.
John Hardy, president of the Rotary Club of Bridgwater and a member of the DAA, said: “It’s a chance for us to talk to people about an illness that has affected a lot of people.
“We’re making Bridgwater dementia friendly.”
The DAA is always looking for new volunteers to help raise awareness of dementia – call John on 07757-730514 or email hardy.benjamin@sky.com
