VISITORS flocked to North Petherton’s 111th annual flower show on Saturday.
The show was opened Mrs J. Davies, former postmistress in the town, before the displays of fruit, vegetables, floral art, photographs, paintings, cookery and handicrafts came under scrutiny.
The number of entries in the flower and vegetable classes were well up on last year, and overall entries were up by 15% on last year.
Many visitors stayed for tea and cakes which added to the community spirit the flower show organisers are trying to promote in the town.
