A FUNDRAISING tattoo event is being held in Bridgwater this Saturday, July 19, for a little girl who is battling a serious genetic condition.
The event is being held on behalf of brave little Tayen Gilbert, who has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment for several tumours on her brain.
The charity day, which runs from 10am onwards, will take place at Steel Rose Tattoo Studio and customers can select a special tattoo for £30, with £20 going towards buying Tayen an iPod so she can listen to it while in hospital.
There will also be a raffle and cake stall for those who don’t want to get a tattoo but still want to donate.
Kade Beck, Tayen’s auntie, said: “My sister and her husband have tattoos and Anne and Paul who run the studio see Tayen and they wanted to do something to help us.”
Tayen’s family have set up a group they have called ‘Tayen’s Journey’ which aims to keep family and friends updated on her progress and to raise awareness about her condition.
