STUDENTS from Bridgwater College Academy were rewarded for their hard work during SATs with a trip to the Quantocks.

The Year Six students had a fantastic day at Great Wood, winding down after the SATs test week.

Executive head teacher, Peter Elliot, said: “It was a time to celebrate the end of their tests and enjoy some exercise out in the fresh air.

“We have been extremely impressed with the attitude and commitment shown by all the children in the build-up to and then the taking of the tests.

“A great day was had by all.

Well done everyone!”

The sun shone as children built dams, played in the stream, walked in the woods, played football, rounders and built dens.

Frisbees were thrown, pictures were drawn and as a special gift for the Year Six students, they were treated to ice lollies to accompany the sunshine.
