ART students from Haygrove School have just returned from an inspirational trip to St Ives in Cornwall.
After a drawing workshop at the Eden Project, which produced some superb drawings of plant life, the students arrived at the picturesque town in late evening and next day embarked on a sketchbook tour of the Tate Gallery.
Creating Beach Art from found materials plus a workshop at the Barbara Hepworth Museum was followed by ice creams.
Their final day was packed with activities including studio workshops at the St Ives School of Painting in still life, plastercast, drawing and printing.
On the bus home, Head of Art Mr Barry Heath awarded his infamous ‘rock’ awards to all students but the most ‘Creative and Prolific Artists’ awards went to Sophie Reynolds, Thalia Rowe, Abigail Edwards and Orla Tully.
