A SERVICE which provides opportunities and support for adults with learning disabilities is moving into a new home in Bridgwater.
From Thursday (June 5), Somerset County Council’s Learning Disabilities Day Service for the Sedgemoor area will be based at the Rollercoaster in Bridgwater.
The service, previously based at the Enterprise Resource Centre, offers support to people with a wide range of learning disabilities as well as their parents and carers.
A coffee morning will be held on Thursday to mark the opening, with Cllr William Wallace, Somerset County Council’s Cabinet member with responsibility for Services to People with Learning Disabilities, joining service users, their parents and carers.
Future plans include the possibility of extending opening times.
