Charities to benefit from Bridgwater Carnival

Bridgwater Mercury: Charities to benefit from Bridgwater Carnival Charities to benefit from Bridgwater Carnival

BRIDGWATER’S 2014 Carnival is less than six months away and organisers are seeking local charities and organisations to benefit from this year’s street collection.

Last year, just under £21,000 was collected and shared between the Bridgwater Carnival charity and other chosen charities.

Local charities and organisations are invited to take part, as long as they have volunteers out on the streets collecting on carnival night and assisting with the counting of the money after the event.

Sedgemoor based charities are also able to benefit through the sale of souvenir programmes or by helping with the marshalling of the carnival throughout the night.

If you are interested or would like to find out more, contact Mark Robson by writing to: Lower Marsh Farm, Kingston St Mary, Taunton, TA2 8AB, or via email: or by calling 07787-120273.

The closing date for applications is Friday August 29.
