GARDENERS can get help recycling their garden waste this year from Sedgemoor District Council.

The council is inviting people to sign up to their garden waste collections where waste will be picked up from their homes 25 times a year.

Customers signing up have the option of receiving a green wheelie bin for their garden waste or garden waste sacks at a cost of £25 for ten bags.

The scheme costs £46.50 per year and you can join by either visiting the council at Bridgwater House or by calling 0845 408 2540 or 01278-435435.

This sounds like an expensive way of composting.Surely it would be cheaper to do it yourself or,for those who can, go to Saltlands.
