A DAY of fun is being held at Angel Place in Bridgwater on May 17 to raise funds for a local girl suffering from a brain tumour.

The team from local charity Tayen's Journey will be at the shopping centre in fancy dress, raising money for the The Neuro Foundation.

Entertainers, face painters, storytellers and stalls selling cupcakes and other goodies will be available, with children showing up in fancy dress getting a free lolly.

Tayen's Journey was set up to help raise funds for Bridgwater girl Tayen who has a genetic condition called Neurofibromatosis type 1.

She has a large brain tumour that extends through her brain and has robbed her of her vision and is having chemotherapy to try to stabilise the tumours.

Tayen's Journey wristbands will also be on sale in support of Tayen and her own battle with Neurofibromatosis at the event, which will go from 10am until 4pm.
