A BUS service from Bridgwater to Street has been saved after councillors asked the public to have their say.
In late 2013, Somerset County Council asked the public for their views on a number of proposed changes to the way some bus services were funded, with hundreds of responses received.
The number 19 Bridgwater to Street service has been protected, along with the number 11 Yeovil Town Service, the number 100 Minehead Town Service and the 106 Doniford to Minehead service.
Cabinet Member with responsibility for Highways, Cllr Harvey Siggs, said: “We face some extremely tough decisions because of significant reductions in our funding but we value the opinions of our residents as we face up to these challenges.
“We have protected those bus services that are most important to people as a direct result of this consultation.”
