THOUSANDS were raised by the big flooding fundraiser concert featuring The Wurzels at The Palace nightclub in Bridgwater.

The final total donated was £5,767.49 which was split evenly between the Somerset Community Foundation flood relief fund and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution’s flood relief fund.

Clive Lilley, who runs The Palace nightclub, said: “We would also like to thank Jan and Brian of Rich’s Cider Farm for donating two barrels of their cider, which was sold with 100 per cent of the takings going to the charity.”
