TOURISM businesses in Somerset are invited to attend free workshops being run across the county next week.

The workshops are aimed at any tourist business, from visitor attractions to B and Bs, which have been directly and indirectly affected by the extreme winter weather and are concerned about the impact on visitor numbers for the rest of the year.

Somerset County Council has been working with Visit Somerset and Visit England who are running the workshops.

The workshops are being held at the Yarn Market Hotel, Dunster on March 27, Fleet Air Arm Museum, RNAS Yeovilton, Ilchester on March 28, Glastonbury Town Hall on March 31, and at the Grand Pier, Weston-super-Mare on April 1.

All the workshops run 9am to 4pm and bookings can be made online at visitsomerset.co.uk
