FLOOD victims will be able to get help from Sedgemoor Citizens’ Advice Bureau as it goes on the road.

After receiving a share of cash from the Government’s flood relief funds the CAB will be in various locations across the county helping people hit by the floods.

Sedgemoor CAB chief executive Joan Saddington said: “We’d already gathered information that flood victims may need and were attending community events, but feared that Somerset may be forgotten when storms and damage caused mayhem up country.

“The announcement that Sedgemoor was one of the bureaux selected by the Cabinet Office to receive advice service cash was warmly received.”

The bureau flood advice team will be at the following locations (weekly unless stated otherwise), starting this week: Bridgwater YMCA, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2pm to 8pm, Saturday, 10am to 4pm; old North Petherton United Reformed Church, Fore Street, North Petherton, Thursdays, 1pm to 4pm; United Reformed Church, High Street, Cannington: Wednesdays, 1pm to 4pm; Canalside, Huntworth, Wednesdays, 6pm to 8pm; Café Connect, North Petherton, Tuesdays, 10am to 2pm (meeting monthly after today); Sedgemoor CAB, Clarence House, High Street, Bridgwater, Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm, Saturday, 10am to noon.
