Lorry driver in dramatic collision with fallen tree on A39 near Bridgwater

THE tree has now been cleared and traffic is returning to normal.
A spokesman for the lorry company, I .C Express, said: "The driver is OK. He made it out with more than a few scratches and is currently receiving treatment in hospital."

He said: "The tree has come down and it would appear that the lorry driver tried to avoid it but ended up going through it.
"He got out with just a few scratches on him though."
A fallen tree on the A39 at Bawdrip is blocking the road and Police are on the scene. Delays likely.— @SomersetCouncil 12 February 2014
