THREE applications totalling over £5,800 have been granted for enhanced education opportunities for young people in Bridgwater.

The money came from Futures for Somerset’s Access for All Fund.

Students of the Elmwood and Penrose Federation, who attend The Jean Rees Centre based at Chilton Trinity, will benefit from new sensory learning environments outside the classroom and the second application was granted for them to go on a high ropes course.

The third application will allow Gifted and Talented Music students across Bridgwater to be invited to go to Halsway Manor and be taught by professional music teachers to create their own music.
