OVER £1.4million of National Lottery funding was invested in Bridgwater and West Somerset last year.

Across the area, 33 grants were awarded to local arts, sports and heritage groups.

This included £4,270 to Kilve Parish Council to erect a fence and gates, and to create a public footpath, improving access to the council building.

The projects are being celebrated in The National Lottery Awards.

Any organisation which has received National Lottery funding is eligible to enter and the winners will receive £2,000.

Visit nationallotteryawards.org.uk or call 0207-2933599 for more information on entering – entries must be received by March 12.
