POLICE worked up a sweat on the treadmills at the 1610 gym in Chilton Trinity as they ran for charity.
1,800 police across the country are on a run to remember PC Nicola Hughes, the policewoman who was shot in Manchester in 2012.
44 police from Avon and Somerset are taking part, with seven members going to Chilton for a jog on the treadmills.
PC Katie Drabble said: “We did two miles on the treadmills on Friday. We're about halfway through the challenge, having 129 miles completed.”
“It was a bit of fun and made the two miles go quicker. By April 4 we plan to have completed 250 miles each.”
The Run to Remember charity campaign is to raise money for children who have suffered a loss of a close family member through violent crime.
