PENSIONERS who couldn’t go to the Bridgwater Carnival have been given a wonderful Christmas gift of DVDs of the spectacular procession.
Members of the Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival Committee officially presented the DVDs to residents at Oak Trees care home.
Dave Stokes, publicity officer for Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival Committee, said: “We are extremely conscious every year there are many people who would love to watch the carnival, but for a number of reasons are unable to do so.
“So it makes perfect sense to take the carnival into the homes of the public.”
The donated DVDs will be shared amongst the residents of Milton House, Bridgwater Hospital, Broadway House, Gibb House, Chatham House, Rosary Nursing Home, Sydenham House and Hilda Coles retirement homes.
