A DRIVER was taken to hospital after a car hit a house in Bridgwater this evening (December 8).
A fire engine was called to a property in Windsor Drive shortly before 5.30pm.
On arrival crews confirmed that the car had left the road and collided with the porch of a house.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital via ambulance.
Crews cleared debris to gain access to gas electricity mains and isolated the gas and electricity.
The gas board carried out a full survey of both the properties and both deemed in a safe state.
Crews made the lean to of the property safe by removing the roof tiles.
Duty of care was left with the police.
