PARENTS looking for child care in North Petherton will have another place to turn in the new year.
Mum Nicola Holman is opening a new nursery called Buttercups Nursery School at Parkers Field.
It will be housed in the new facilities built for North Petherton Football Club.
Nicola is a former Bridgwater College student who graduated in 2000 with a BTEC diploma in nursery nursing.
She has worked in several nurseries over the years, but this is the first time she has run one.
She said: “This will be a massive adventure. It has taken me just over a year to get it going.
“I’m very excited and very nervous.”
Nicola, who has three sons and a daughter aged five to nine, as well as a 16-year-old stepson, thanks everybody who has supported her project, particularly Nigel Coram and her parents, Chris and Veronica Davis.
She hopes to open Buttercups in January, and it will take up to 35 children aged three months and older, opening from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
