Homes in Sedgemoor staff raise £100 for cancer campaign
STAFF at Homes in Sedgemoor in Bridgwater have raised £106 by dressing in pink for a day.
The money went to the Breast Cancer Campaign, which funds a number of projects including groundbreaking research into the causes of the disease.
Staff donned anything from pink stockings and dresses to pink wrist sweatbands, ties and party hats.
Chief executive Dawn Lang pledged a £1 for everyone who wore pink, and an additional collection was started by employees, taking the amount to over £100.
Ms Lang said: “Despite recent advances, breast cancer is still the most common cancer there is and affects many families and lives. This cause is close to our hearts and we are happy to support this crucial funding to keep vital research going.”
