3:30pm Friday 9th August 2013 in News
A NEW singing group for people living with dementia is being launched in Sedgemoor.
Singing for the Brain is an Alzheimer’s Society programme that will hold its first town session at Burnham Baptist Church on September 24.
The society’s support service manager for Somerset, Hazel Tillman, said: “Even when memories are hard to retrieve, music can sometimes still be recalled – if only for a short while.
“The sessions help people with dementia communicate, improving their mood and leaving them feeling good about themselves.”
