Three people escaped uninjured from a small house fire in Thornton Heath last night.
Firefighters from Norbury fire station were called to Mersham Road at about 10pm, and the three occupants were out of the property by the time the crew arrived.
About 20 percent of the ground floor suffered fire damage in the blaze, which is understood to have been caused by an electrical fault in a shower unit.
A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said the crew remained at the scene for an hour-and-a-half.
