FIREFIGHTERS from around Somerset and Dorset have been involved overnight at a pub fire in a village just outside of Yeovil.
Crews from Yeovil, Crewkerne, Martock, Sherborne, Beaminster, Ilminster, Glastonbury, Chard, Axminster, Taunton, Wincanton, Somerton, Shepton Mallet and Frome have been involved.
The alarm was raised at just after 4.30pm yesterday to a fire at the Castle Inn pub on the A30 in West Coker, on the outskirts of Yeovil.
Investigations are due to get underway to the cause of the blaze at the historic pub which had a thatched roof.
The A30 between Haselbury Plucknett and Bunford Hollow, Yeovil, has been closed to traffic because of the incident.
