Mentoring scheme success in Bridgwater Mentoring scheme success in Bridgwater

ALMOST 100 mentors have been trained as part of a programme to support youngsters across Bridgwater.

Delivered jointly by Futures for Somerset and the Bridgwater Education Trust, the initiative involves mentors offering one-to-one sessions with young people during school hours, focusing on raising confidence and aspirations, and giving a true insight into the world of work.

Among the latest trained mentors are officers from Avon and Somerset Police, and staff from Abacus Construction, EDF Energy, Somerset County Council and Yarlington Housing Group.
