MEMORIES of one of the most heartbreaking tragedies in Sedgemoor in recent years will come flooding back next week.

An inquest is due to take place in Taunton next Thursday into the death of four-year-old Dylan Cecil, who was swept out to sea after slipping off te jetty in Burnham on August 19 last year.

His body was recovered four days later.

Dylan, from Kettering in the West Midlands, was on holiday with his family when the tragedy happened.

More than 76,000 people have ‘liked’ a Facebook page which has been called ‘RIP Dylan Cecil’.

On Tuesday, exactly six months since the tragedy, a message was posted on the page which said: “An angel got his wings six months ago today. His name was Dylan John David Cecil. “He made his mom and dad the happiest people alive when he was born.”

Within two hours of the message being posted, more than 130 people had left their own messages of tribute to Dylan and condolences to his family.
