A GROUP of young musicians have raised more than £200 for a hospice.
More than 20 pupils of music teacher Jackie Ayres provided a concert with afternoon tea at Nether Stowey Church Centre in aid of the Children’s Hospice South-West.
Jackie said: “There were some excellent performances, from some very young pianists ranging to some expert playing by college students, including piano, clarinet and flute solos and duets.”
The music ranged from Mexican folk and French romantic works for clarinet, to Beethoven, Schumann and Dvorak for piano.
Pupils provided refreshments and Jackie thanks everyone who worked hard to make it a successful and enjoyable afternoon.
