Hamp Junior School pupils take pride in 'Hampy the Gritter'

IT'S quite a cuddly name for a big lump of metal - but this council gritter has been dubbed Hampy by a group of schoolchildren.
The pupils at Hamp Junior School came up with the name and entered it into a Somerset County Council competition to name the authority's gritting lorries.
Hamp was one of six schools to triumph in the competition and have a vehicle renamed to their pupils' liking.
