Tony Good closer to home after The Clink collision

WELL-KNOWN Bridgwater man Tony Good is making steady progress after a serious accident in the town last month.

Tony, 68, who is the fixtures secretary of the Taunton and District Saturday Football League, and heavily involved for many years with Bridgwater Pantomime Society, was hit by a lorry at The Clink while walking towards East Quay Medical Centre for an appointment.

He was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with injuries to both legs and his head.

However, he has now been moved to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, where doctors are pleased with his progress, according to his wife Rita, although he still has no recollection of the accident.

Rita told the Mercury: “He is making very slow progress but he is making progress.

“He is chatting away and talking about his football and his golf.

“He is still very sleepy because of the medication he is on but the doctors are very pleased with him.

“It’s much, much easier with him being at Musgrove, because it means he can have more visitors.

“He still doesn’t know what happened. He can only remember walking up the riverside.”
