The event is at UWE on Sunday.
THREE young athletes from Enmore School have qualified to represent Somerset in a prestigious competition this weekend (February 3).
Will Stokes, Skyla Coate and Harrison Otley, all aged 10, will be taking part in the Sportshall Athletics competition held at the University of the West of England (UWE) on Sunday.
More young people than ever attended qualification trials held in towns across the county including Bridgwater, Minehead, Taunton and Yeovil.
Graham Norris, owner of ‘Action in Change’, has been coaching and sponsoring the Somerset team for ten years. He said: “Jess Ennis started her career in Sportshall Athletics.
“I believe strongly every child should grow up realising the value of sport as a way of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and developing teamwork skills.
“Sportshall Athletics does this in an exciting way that is appropriate to the needs of very young athletes.”
The students had training at The Blue School in Wells in preparation for the competition, supported by Aviva, which will see Somerset take on Gloucestershire and Avon.
