FLOODING problems have returned to Cannington today – but this time the blame lies with a leaking boiler.

A fire crew from Bridgwater was called out to Brownings Road in the village at about 9.30am following reports of flooding in a property.

A fire service spokesman said: “Upon attendance crews discovered water coming from a boiler within the property causing extensive flooding to the ground floor of the property.

“The incident support unit from Taunton was requested to bring extra equipment to help remove the water and an Aqua Vac was used. A plumber was also called to attend the property and assist the occupants.”
